Welcome to the plans and pricing page. Here you can choose a suitable plan to pay for your classes. Some of these can only be done online and some can also be done in person, cash or card. I will eventually be phasing out the single class payments, but this will not happen until later in 2027. 

Why do I have a monthly payment system?

Tai chi is my 'full time job' / career. Whether people come to classes or not, I still have overheads like insurance, the website, hall hire, petrol, car wear and tear. I've spoken to many people who run classes and many are also currently switching to similar systems - although many have opted for a managed direct debit option. I have taken a long time to think about this and have been being told by work and businesses coaches for over a year to implement such a system. Tai chi is something that takes many years to learn and is not something that just anyone can teach. We do try to train in Cambridge and attend seminars as often as possible. 

Why have I NOT gone for a managed direct debit option?

Simply because my experience of these in the past has been horrendous PLUS I want to keep the cost down for you. Managed direct debit options require additional costs to pay the management company and additionally often have a massive 3 month cancellation policy. I wanted to keep my prices fair and in line with what I've been charging. It also gives you the ability to cancel or pause your payments whenever you need to. (Bear in mind of course that once a monthly subscription is paused or cancelled I will need to fill your space within a few weeks). 

Are my card details safe?

Absolutely! I have no access to your card details and the payments are taken via a web payment merchant - this is all automatic the same as ordering your shopping from Tesco or buying something on Amazon. I have paid extra on my website to ensure it has full security and I see no reason for a data breach in the future. 

What exactly am I paying for?

You are paying for your space and the payments have been worked out over 47 weeks of the year allowing me some time off and also with some extra time for you. The payment system isn't just to give me a more stable income - it's also so that I don't have to have a class of 15 when the hall only fits 10, so that I know that enough people will turn up each week to cover costs. I can more easily see when people haven't been coming or paying for their place and I can get it filled faster. It gives you the enjoyment of not having to worry about getting the cash out each week, and knowing the classes will only ever fit the size of the hall. You have professional tuition from someone who has a lifetime experience of martial arts, self defense, wellness therapies and tai chi - it's rare to find an instructor that has experience in all sectors that are important to tai chi.
